David McGovern (Lecturer)

David repaid Lancaster’s faith in him after achieving poor A-Level results, by going on to be a successful academic, now lecturing in water engineering and fluid mechanics at London South Bank University. Whilst at Lancaster, David also established himself firmly in both the squash team and Lancaster’s music scene over the five years that he spent at the university.

Max Brambani (JBA Consulting)

Max highlights the skills that he gained whilst studying BSc Geography at undergraduate and from his PgCert in Flood & Coastal Risk Management as fundamental to his current role as a hydraulic modeller. However, Max’s time at Lancaster also saw him develop as a person, making long-lasting friendships, with fond memories of international field-trips to Iceland and Spain.

Mathew Chard (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service)

After being inspired by a module that he undertook, Mathew decided to pursue a career in sustainability, which he now currently does on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, after studying both an undergraduate and a masters degree at Lancaster University.
