Joshua’s time at Lancaster began after he fell in love with the university and its surrounding areas, with a particular fondness developed of field trips, particularly when he visited Croatia as part of one, which helped to spark a desire to pursue a career in water management
After completing her MSc International Innovation (Environmental Science), Lucy works in communication and strategy for a Chinese NGO called The Shangri-La Institute.
Having completed both a Masters and PhD with LEC, Ally is now a Geography Lecturer. She continues her research and looks forward to future collaborations and teaching the fantastic students of LEC.
Completing a Natural Sciences degree based in LEC allowed Chelsea flexibility in her degree, and had ultimately led to a change in direction from Environmental Science to Nutrition!
I am currently 4 months into my Master’s in Contamination, Risk Assessment and Remediation at Lancaster University which incorporates everything from studying pollution microbiology and remediation strategies to undertaking chemical risk assessments on real-life situations in the environment.
I now work for a national research organisation who cover all aspects of the built environment. I currently work mainly in Flood resilience, but also have input into various other areas including sustainable products; research and innovation; and our green building assessment programme BREEAM.
Andy loved the atmosphere of the campus, and is now undertaking a two year graduate scheme as an IT Business Analyst with Travis Perkins plc.
Adam is on a nuclear industry Graduate Scheme as a Environmental Compliance Advisor. Moving forward, the role of Chartered Environmental Specialist is in his sights…
Based in Oxfordshire, Harvey runs his own environmental consultancy company, Hydro-GIS Ltd.
Ellyse loved the Lancaster area so much that she now works for the Environment Agency as Team Leader for the Cumbria and Lancashire Analysis and Reporting team.
BeyondLEC is part of Lancaster Environment Centre at Lancaster University.
