RECIRCULATE WP1 LUG team at WACEE ’19

The Lancaster University Ghana WP1 team exhibited at the WACEE Conference in Accra, Ghana. This is one of the largest gatherings of stakeholders in the circular economy ecosystem including policy makers, industry, social entrepreneurs and experts.

The RECIRCULATE project stand gained a lot of attention and visits considering that we were the only research project that took part in the conference. Highlighting RECIRCULATE’s initiative of conducting research and building capacity in relation to the sustainable use of water in Africa, several conference attendees and exhibitors were keen on joining the project as partners. Notable among these were those from francophone West African countries including Togo and Cote D’Ivoire.

The WP1 team believes following up on these networks is beneficial to the project in terms of growing our footprints within West Africa to include Francophone countries.
