Delegates at the Congrès de la Société  Française Shakespeare 17-19 March 2022 were delighted to see and hear a first staged reading for sections of a collaborative French translation of Elizabeth Cary’s The Tragedy of Mariam  (published 1613) on 17 March

The collaborative translation is being led by Aurelie Griffin

The staged reading was performed by students from the Sorbonne-Nouvelle and Université Paris Cité: Beatrice Fuga, Ariel Masset, Elisabeth Szanto and Lina Vale and director Jou Boisseau-Gallez.
