• Alison Fare takes us on a tour the Manchester Recovery Facility. The physics of ferromagnetism are introduced and then applied to the separation of aluminum cans.  
• The slides also discuss Reduce, reuse, repair and recycle. 
• There is a discussion of the energy involved in recycling aluminum and glass with some challenging calculation.
