Teachers engaging with research

REAP have evaluated university activities designed to enable teachers to engage with researchers as part of the RCUK-School and University Partnership Initiative (RCUK-SUPI) and inspire the next generation of researchers. This included evaluation of Lancaster’s Research in a Box.

We have also worked collaboratively with Teaching Schools seeking to raise the profile of research within their teaching alliances and encourage and support teachers to engage with research in a variety of ways:

  • East Lancashire Inclusion Partnership (ELIP): working with teachers on small scale action research projects designed to raise awareness of the research process and support this teaching alliance engage in research
  • Loyne Teaching Alliance: working with schools on small scale action research and small scale evaluation projects designed to increase teacher engagement with research
