Natalia Weglarz (Knight Frank)

Name: Natalia Weglarz

Subject: BSc Geography North America

Year Graduated: 2013

College: Cartmel

Where are you now and what are you doing?

I am a Town Planner for Knight Frank Town Planning, who are a large private consultancy firm.

What would you like to do next?

My plan in 3 years’ time is to live in Canada; hopefully working as a town planner.

Why did you choose to study at Lancaster?

It was the furthest I could get away from my parents without going abroad…. In all seriousness, it was a great geography course on the league table, and the vibe I got when I visited made me want to stay right then and there, let alone study at Lancaster.

What was your favourite part of your degree and why?

It has to be my year abroad, in my second year I managed to study at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. I met lifelong friends, I visited every major city in Canada, I found my passion in urban planning and fell in love with Canada.

How do you think your time at Lancaster prepared you for what you’re currently doing?

Lancaster University prepared me for the world, it allowed me to meet new people, try new things and really work on who I wanted to be.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Lancaster? (Including extra-curricular activities and beyond?)

While I was in Lancaster, is has to be my Cartmel college netball team, 100%. Getting to practise every Wednesday and Saturday, making friends, keeping fit but most importantly beating Lonsdale.
