We invite proposals for tutorials to be delivered on Sunday, 20 June 2027.

Tutorials are intended to provide high-quality, accessible introductions to topics of current interest in stochastic optimisation, computational management science, and related areas. Accepted tutorial presenters will receive a registration fee waiver.

Topics of Interest

We welcome proposals on a broad range of topics, including (but not limited to):

  • Stochastic programming
  • Robust and distributionally robust optimisation
  • Simulation–optimisation
  • Reinforcement learning and approximate dynamic programming
  • Combinatorial optimisation under uncertainty
  • Data-driven optimisation and machine learning integration
  • Computational methods and software for optimisation
  • Applications in energy, transportation, finance, healthcare, supply chains, and beyond

Format

  • Duration: 2 to 3 hours
  • Format: Lecture-style, hands-on, or hybrid
  • Tutorials may include practical components (e.g. coding demonstrations)

Submission Guidelines

Please send your proposal to the conference email address ecsocms@lancaster.ac.uk. The proposal should include:
