The Leverhulme Trust recipients attend annual event in London

Members of the Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarship Programme in Interdisciplinary Research on Infant Development (PI Gert Westermann, left; scholars from left to right: Marina Bazhydai, Samantha Russell, Ellie Smith, Shirley Cheung, Marina Loucaides, and Shirly Ma)  attended the Annual Lecture and Dinner held at the Institution of Engineering and Technology in London on the 24th of October to hear Dame Minouche Shafik, the Director of the London School of Economics & Political Science, present a talk titled: Why are we so miserable when everything is getting better?

Following the talk, guests were seated upstairs at round tables where a four-course dinner was enjoyed and accompanied by lively conversations with others affiliated with the Trust. It was certainly a spectacular evening and we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
