Glocal Walk with Lancaster Royal Grammar School Students
An external Glocal Walk was delivered for senior students from Lancaster Royal Grammar School, focusing on local sites connected to colonial trade, industrial labour and global movement. The walk aimed to support school-level learning around history, citizenship and social inequality through place-based discussion.
Students were encouraged to consider how global histories are embedded within local landscapes and how these legacies continue to influence present-day communities. This session formed part of DLU’s wider public engagement work beyond the university.
