ReDEAL is an interdisciplinary research project involving universities in Kenya and the UK and global research organisations. It aims to help farming communities reverse the degradation of grasslands in the highlands of Kenya in order to improve livestock productivity, food security and ecosystem conservation. It explores how a combination plant biodiversity and new livestock management models can restore grazing land in humid and highly populated areas. It runs for two years from July 2019 to July 2021.

Funded by the UK government BBSRC, as part of the Global Challenges Research Fund.
