This event introduced students to the issues involved in interdisciplinary study through a mixture of lectures, workshops, and independent study. The final day was spent visiting the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) and the Special Collections department of the John Rylands University Library (JRUL), both in Manchester.
The teaching team was David Amigoni (Keele), Gowan Dawson (Leicester), John Hodgson (JRUL), James Peters (JRUL), Katy Price (Anglia Ruskin), Catherine Rushmore (MOSI), Sharon Ruston (Salford), Stephanie Snow (Manchester), and Martin Willis (Glamorgan).
There were twenty funded places given to doctoral students for this training event.
