Results from new research on crop wild relatives
New research published in Nature shows that many of the wild crops that will be needed for future food supply are poorly represented in the world’s gene banks.
The most critical gaps are in the Mediterranean and the Near East, western and southern Europe, Southeast and East Asia, and South America.
