The closing conference of the ENGaGE (Erasmus+) project took place on the 17th January, 2020.
Colleagues from six foreign countries and five Hungarian universities, inspiring speeches, an interested and interactive audience – it was a great professional event!

Teacher training on inclusive practices at British Council, Budapest

On 10th January 2020 Judit Kormos delivered teacher training workshops for teachers at the British Council Hungary on how to support language learners with specific learning difficulties in the language classroom.

 

Publication of policy document on the modernization of the system of reading instruction in Hungary

Following the publication of the 2023 PISA results,  the Presidential Committee on Public Education of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences called for the establishment of a committee to analyse the current status of teaching reading comprehension and developing first language literacy skills within the Hungarian education system and to outline a proposal for the suggested directions and areas of improvement as well as critical intervention points.
