Internship Opportunity: Social Media and Digital Content Intern for BALANCE Media 

**This internship opportunity is exclusively available to current UG/PG students studying within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster University**

This is an exclusive opportunity to build your work experience in the digital media industry with BALANCE Media, helping to shape the brands growing digital presence.

BALANCE is a freemium in London with a circulation of 202,000. We have a fast-growing digital platform and are venturing into events in 2019 too.

This is a flexible part time role, designed to fit around your studies. Weekly hours can be carried out remotely with regular guidance from your line manager, including a daily catch up call to agree tasks and duties to be carried out.

A trip to BALANCE HQ in London will be required as part of the training and induction.

 

Main Duties

Scheduling social media content across Instagram, Twitter, FB

Creating Mailchimp newsletters

Writing for balance.media

Engaging with the BALANCE community

Designing GIFs and visuals for social media

Campaign ideation

Monitoring the editorial calendar

 

Skills Required

A strong creative flair

Excellent communication skills

Professional experience of using social media

 

Important Dates

Internship duration: 140 hours (eg. 8 hours per week for 17.5 weeks)

Rate of pay: £8.78 (including holiday pay) paid monthly upon weekly submission of ERS timesheets
