SMARTS First Stakeholders Workshop

February 27 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Recap of Our Recent Workshop on Defining Stakeholder Operational Requirements in SMARTS project.

On February 27th, EUROCONTROL hosted a dynamic and insightful workshop aimed at defining the operational requirements of our stakeholders within the SMARTS project.

The primary objective of this workshop is to gather comprehensive insights from key stakeholders across the aviation sector, including ANSPs, NM, Military, and Civil Airspace Users. During this workshop, we will engage in a structured discussion aimed at:
  • Reviewing and evaluating the current sector design and configuration processes
  • Identifying inefficiencies and challenges within these processes
  • Exploring the potential of AI methods and optimization algorithms to address these challenges
  • Soliciting feedback on criteria for improved sector design responsiveness to traffic fluctuations and uncertainty
  • Discussing optimization criteria from both ANSPs and NM perspectives

During this engaging session, participants delve into the specific needs and expectations of our stakeholders. Through collaborative discussions we gained valuable insights into the operational intricacies crucial for the success of SMARTS.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants for your invaluable contributions and commitment to excellence. Together, we´re shaping the future of air traffic management with SMARTS!

Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards SMARTS success!
