SMARTS Project to Present at EURO 2025 Leeds

We’re delighted to announce our upcoming presentation on robust optimization methods for Dynamic Airspace Configuration at the prestigious 50th Anniversary EURO Conference.

This presentation focuses on airspace configurations—partitions of the airspace into non-overlapping sectors—and aims to determine optimal and robust configuration plans that effectively absorb air traffic under demand uncertainty.

The presentation will include a comprehensive evaluation of our robust approach using real-world data from Madrid ACC, with insights into the important trade-offs between minimizing traffic overflow and maintaining operational robustness.
