The SMARTS project team is gathering for its 12th Progress Meeting and Technical Workshop on December 12-13, 2024, at CRIDA’s premises in Madrid. The two-day workshop brings together experts from leading European aviation organizations including CRIDA, ENAIRE, DLR, EUROCONTROL, ENAC, NATS, and Lancaster University.
The workshop focuses on critical aspects of air traffic management sector design and safety, with key sessions dedicated to sector configuration modeling, safety and human performance assessment, and meteorological input integration. Participants will review progress on functional requirements documentation and work toward defining sector profile models.
Led by CRIDA, the workshop aims to advance the project’s technical development through collaborative sessions on sector design algorithms, Safety and Human Performance scoping, and validation exercises. The meeting demonstrates the ongoing commitment of European aviation stakeholders to enhancing air traffic management efficiency and safety.
The SMARTS project continues to make progress in developing innovative solutions for the future of European airspace managementr.
