Welcome to the NEON Lab
Network Electrophysiology, Oscillations & Neurobiology
We are based in the Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences at Lancaster University. Our research is dedicated to advancing understanding of neural dynamics in the human brain in both health and disease. We aim to uncover how patterns of neural activity across brain networks support everyday functions and identify what goes wrong in neurological disorders, with a focus on sleep, epilepsy, memory, and dementia.

Our research sits at the intersection of neurophysiology, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical engineering. We use both invasive and non-invasive neurophysiological methods, particularly high-density and intracranial EEG, alongside advanced analytical tools to study brain activity with millisecond-level resolution.
