Staying with Speculation: Objectologies

As part of the Staying with Speculation workshop, participants shared objects that connected to their research. Here are photos of each object with a short explanation of their meaning.

Figures wrapped in ethical dilemmas, from Monika Büscher

An ordinary compass, from Matt Smith, in this case representing the problems of traditional navigation tools

Tensegrity, designed by Serena Pollastri, kept in balance by the tensions between each point.

A Dialectogramme, by Robert Mapplethorpe, showing interactions and speculations in the Bowes Gallery. Brought by Jen Ross.

The first item placed, a paper fortune teller, from Malé Luján Escalante. Let the mapping begin
