Welcome to the LitSciMed website.
LitSciMed is an online resource for scholars of literature, science, and medicine. This website was originally created to accompany the innovative Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded doctoral training programme ‘Theories and Methods: Literature, Science, and Medicine’, which ran from 2009 to 2011. The Events page provides an overview of the programme, and the Resources page presents a range of LitSciMed learning materials, films, and useful links.
On 30-31 March 2016, a further two-day LitSciMed symposium, also funded by the AHRC, was held at Lancaster University. This event – the seventh in the LitSciMed series – provided scholars working in the field of literature, science, and medicine an opportunity to reflect on developments since 2011. Resources from the symposium are currently being added to the website.
This online resource will continue to develop beyond LitSciMed 2016.
