New Internship Opportunity

Researching the Future for Online and Distance Learning – Gledus Ltd.

This internship is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

The objective of this internship is to help a company to research the potential for setting up innovative online and distance learning packages.

Gledus Limited are a Global Education Services provider of bespoke packages that ensure educational ambitions can be achieved. They promote cross-cultural learning between countries by creating opportunities in international education between institutions, students and sporting organisations.

The company is looking for an intern to carry out research into the most compelling market opportunity for institutions and academies within education and sporting sector. They are looking at IT solutions that may incorporate some of the following: Holographic Imaging, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR).

The internship will involve undertaking research into a range of software proposals and producing a feasibility report outlining the recommended software implementation based on the results. The report should outline:

– What are current weaknesses in delivering education across countries?
– How can they be overcome by advanced software through distance learning features (Holographic Imaging, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality)?
– How can the software remain future proof and make an incremental difference to what is already in the market?
– The competitive landscape – how are the various software solutions being used in the education / sporting industry and who by?
– Areas in which emissions can be saved? Are there any non-competing environmental organisations who operate in a similar niche in which we can collaborate with to increase access to markets?
– Recommended software for Gledus – what is our value proposition, how could it be implemented into current services, what new services could be introduced?

A total of 140 hours is available to complete this work.
