Flexibility has become a popular topic for those interested in how we might make our daily lives more sustainable. This is because some proposed solutions, like renewable energy technologies or smoothing the peaks of energy demand, suppose that energy demand and supply can ‘flex’, as and when we need it.

This gallery explores the changing relationship between energy supply and demand.
