Flexibility has become a popular topic for those interested in how we might make our daily lives more sustainable. This is because some proposed solutions, like renewable energy technologies or smoothing the peaks of energy demand, suppose that energy demand and supply can ‘flex’, as and when we need it.
This gallery explores the changing relationship between energy supply and demand.

- How is energy demand bound up in the rhythm of society and what people do?
- How has energy demand and supply flexed historically?
- Can we simply shift the timing of demand in line with available supplies of energy?
The gallery takes on these questions through a series of different exhibits.

UPCOMING EXHIBITS
The gallery is a work in progress and we will be releasing exhibits until early 2023.
The next exhibit will look at how institutions fix and flex social rhythms.
