1. Travel

Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is located within the University’s Bailrigg campus, which is about 15 minute distance by car/taxi from Lancaster Train Station. There is a taxi rank at the arrivals side of the train station.
If there is no taxi available upon your arrival, you can call a local taxi company at 0152435666 or contact Lancaster University Management School at 01524510752.

The closest international airport from Lancaster is Manchester Airport.
There are direct trains available from both London Euston and Manchester Airport to Lancaster. The best way to travel from Cambridge is to take a train to London Kings Cross, walk to London Euston station, and then take a train to Lancaster.

2. Accommodation

You can either stay in (1) University Guest Rooms on Campus or in
(2) Lancaster House Hotel, from where everything will be in walking distance of the conference.

University Guest rooms provide en-suite bedrooms and are about 5-10 minute walk to the conference venue, Lancaster University Management School. Lancaster House Hotel is a 4-star hotel, which is next to our campus. Reservations can be made online or by calling (+44) 0330 2203 107.  Please quote “Management School Conference” for a discounted rate of £92.50 per night for single occupancy and £110 per night double occupancy both rates include breakfast. The rate also includes access to their leisure facilities. We highly recommend this option, but places are limited.

Alternatively, you can stay in Lancaster City Centre – a short bus ride or taxi journey away from the Campus.  There are also other rural/out of town options for those with a car or who are happy to take a taxi or public transport.

3. Wi-Fi

Eduroam is available on campus. 

For those who do not have access to eduroam, there is LU Visitor Wi-Fi. It is a public Wi-Fi network and so is not a secure network. It is designed for temporary access; you will need to sign back in every 24 hours. It is not for long-term use by staff and students as they can use the secure eduroam Wi-Fi.
To connect to Visitor Wi-Fi, look for LU-Visitor in your list of Wi-Fi networks and follow the Visitor Wi-Fi registration instructions on your device.
