I am a PhD-Student at Europa-Universität Flensburg examining different understandings and concepts of space | place in different theories of practice. I am especially interested in spaces | places of difference(s), heterogeneity and inclusion/exclusion in education. My work seeks to contribute to debates in ‘space studies‘- e.g. in addressing questions about what space | place ‘is‘ understood to ‘be‘ in the context of respective theories. It also contributes to discussions on heterogeneity, differences and social inequality. I am also interested in connecting aspects of practice, spatial, material and emotional turn(s). Broader areas of interest include: Social theory and in particular Theories of Practice (again with a main focus on heterogeneity rather than resemblance); Ethnography | Praxeography (participant observation, interviews, document analysis) and questions on methods and methodology.
