PhD-Student & Research Assistant
My main research interest are classroom practices connected to achievement in primary and secondary schools which I study in my dissertation project. I am focused on the way novices learn to participate in practices and particularly on how children learn to carry out school practices. On a broader level I am interested in the organization of practices focusing on understandings and rules, affectivity and normativity and their interrelations. I am also working on methodological questions in ethnography/praxeography.
Recently, I have taken an interest in the change of educational practices through the use of digital techniques in classroom and at-home learning settings.
In my current position at Europa-Universität Flensburg I teach undergraduate and masters modules at the Department of Educational Sciences and Centre for Teachers Education.
