Sih-Ying Hsieh (Iris Hsieh) – Recalling Memories: Generative AI Art-Health Practice for Dementia
In this guest blog post, Sih-Ying Hsieh (Iris Hsieh) presents a case study of the ‘Time Machine: AI Art and Reminiscence Therapeutic programme’, which was co-led by Art For All and Excelsior Care Homes in Taiwan. The project explores how AI image generation tools can be used in art sessions to encourage participants living with dementia to share their lived experiences, generate memorable scenes and foster connections with others.
