Join the LUMS Research Conference

We are delighted to host the LUMS Research Conference again this year.

The conference brings together our research community to celebrate the breadth and quality of work across the School, while reflecting on our shared ambition to publish in leading journals across our disciplines.

The day will begin with the PhD Poster Event, where doctoral researchers will present their work to colleagues and a judging panel of LUMS academics. This is always a lively event, and we hope you can drop in to see the work underway by our doctoral community. Lunch will follow.

We are then pleased to welcome our keynote speaker, Prof Cele Otnes (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign), who will offer reflections on research excellence and publishing in her talk, “Strategically Leveraging Authorial Social Roles for Successful Publishing”.

The programme will continue with a “Meet the Editors” session, providing insights into the editorial process, working with journals, and approaches to successful publishing. This will be followed with a panel discussion on the realities of publishing in top journals, featuring early- and mid-career colleagues from LUMS sharing their experiences, challenges, and lessons learned.

The conference will close with a drinks reception, providing an opportunity to recognise the success of our colleagues and continue conversations informally.

We hope you will be able to join us for some or all of the day to hear about the exciting research taking place across the School and to celebrate one another’s achievements.

We look forward to seeing many of you there.
