The ups and downs of lifelong dysfluency

Being a stammerer

I am 59 years old. I first remember stammering at the age of 7. The following 52 years have been a roller-coaster ride. During that journey, I have encountered bullying, harassment, depression, suppression, frustration, guilt, embarrassment, isolation, and mental illness, along with the highs and lows of life that we all contend with. How did I become a world-class illustrator, gain several degrees, become a tutor and teacher, and work in communication for most of my working life? Would you like to help me find out?
