Dr Sara Wasson is a Contributing Member of the British Pain Society, and her research considers the marginalisation of particular subjects in a range of historical contexts and medical settings. She has a particular interest in the way that pain and distress may resist narrative representation. She is Primary Investigator on the AHRC Research Network Translating Chronic Pain.
