Here is a bit more on me and my study, and some important info on ethics

I am a Turkish immigrant who have been in the UK for 10 years now. I am based in Lancaster University Management School. I am the principal investigator in this research study.

As an immigrant who earns his living from research on human behaviour and institutions, my motivation for this project comes from the fact that in scholarly and popular debates, immigration and integration issues are discussed mainly from cultural perspectives (e.g., language, ethnic identity, religion, and attitudes).

However, these aspects do not tell the whole story of our experiences of immigration and integration in the UK. To better understand immigration and integration dynamics in these uncertain and challenging times, we need to better understand what we as immigrants do with the revenues we earn in our businesses and incomes we generate in the UK labour market, and how we contribute to the UK economy and society by investing our savings.

My project therefore aims to understand some of the economic, social, cultural, and individual drivers of our savings and investment decisions in the UK and our countries of origin.

The project  (no FL16229) has been approved by the Ethics Committee of FASS and Lancaster University Management School. This means that we do not expect any type of risk (e.g., psychological, physical, professional, legal) to you because of your participation in this project. Your identity is completely anonymous to us and the anonymous data generated from your responses will be stored and analysed in secure computers provided and maintained by Lancaster University.

Because of your full anonymity to us, once you completed the survey, it is impossible for us to remove you from the project. However, by exiting the survey before completion, you can withdraw from the project.
