How can I get involved?

We have a number of research assistant and postdoc opportunities starting 2025 for some pretty amazing projects!

Casual Research Assistant: Deaf children workshop

If you are a Psychology student at Lancaster University, click here to check for current Psychology Employability Programme (PEP) positions.

We want to hear from children aged 7-11 and 12-16 about growing up with deafness or a hearing loss in the UK. Everyone’s story matters. We are hitting the road and running focus groups with an expert facilitator in Edinburgh, Bristol, Belfast and Lancaster in June/July 2024. To take part, please click here to email us.

To read more about our James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership in Childhood Deafness and Hearing Loss, please visit the NDCS website here. Or even better, please take part in our surveys here!

The PELiCAN Lab is looking for children aged 6-12 with or without hearing or listening difficulties.

If your child is younger than 6, or has a sibling outside of this range, you are invited to sign up anyway as the PELiCAN Lab is associated with Lancaster University’s Infant and Child Development Lab which is recruiting children of all ages.

You can click here here to register, update your records, or remove your child from future studies.
