Lancaster University Ghana

Lancaster University Ghana is a branch campus of Lancaster University, United Kingdom. It was established in October 2013 when it received its accreditation from the National Accreditation Board in Ghana.

The University offers an excellent opportunity for students in Africa to study in a prestigious UK degree in Ghana, allowing students from across West Africa to earn a British qualification closer to home.

The Accra-based branch campus, called Lancaster University Ghana, is the only one of its kind in West Africa and is committed to producing graduates who have the skills and knowledge to meet the region’s industrial, societal and governmental needs.

The campus will allow students across Africa to access Lancaster’s academic excellence in teaching and research on the African continent and the faculty of the new campus will work to international standards. Students will be taught primarily by local staff and also Lancaster academic staff. Graduates will receive the same degree certificate that they would have received had they studied in the UK

Students choose from a range of undergraduate courses in marketing, finance, business studies international relations, computer science, law and psychology and its highly acclaimed Global MBA programme amongst other postgraduate courses. Students are already enrolled on a foundation programme and teaching started on 7 October 2013.

The institution is a collaboration between Lancaster University and Trans National Education Ghana Limited (TNE). By next academic year, Lancaster University Ghana hope to introduce eight more degrees schemes and have around 200 students enrolled.
