About

Lancaster University Folk Music and Dance Society formed in  November 2014.

We hold themed dance sessions and band rehearsals each week. Anyone is welcome to join us and, unless specified, all sessions are free after you’ve joined. Folk dancing and music is fun, very social, an excellent way to relax, and we are a very friendly group welcoming all dancers and musicians. You don’t need a partner or experience. Hope to see you soon!

  • Dance: Tuesday 8-10pm, Friday 6-8pm
    Brandrigg Room, Cartmel
  • Music: Wednesday 7-9pm
    Pendle Sitting Room

If you want to know the theme for our weekly folk dance session you can find it plus events the society’s putting on (we occasionally host our own ceilidhs) in our calendar, and other local-ish folk dance events we attend or you might be interested in on this other calendar. Our links page has external sites which list more events.
