Slavery Family Trees Research Internships

Lancaster University Library Festival Event This Saturday (11th September at 430pm)

The Slavery Family Trees Community Research Project: Exploring Lancaster’s link to Transatlantic Slavery

Students who are presenting at this event completed FASS internships from March to July this year. They worked in collaboration with Lancaster Black History Group and other local groups on a community research project. They will be sharing some of their findings. Please come along to find out more!

Members of the Lancaster Black History community group will talk about the Slavery Family Trees project, sharing how schools, university students, voluntary organisations, community and faith groups from across the city have come together to produce and record community stories and learning that will allow local people to work together to face the past, and in doing so transform the future.
