FASS Internship Scheme: Marketing and Publicity Assistant

Main Duties

• Conduct market research for forthcoming titles and events.
• Contributing to promotional activities e.g. engaging with journalists, publicising events, assisting with
current social media activities and campaigns.
• Proofreading titles in production as well as marketing and sales materials.
• Expanding and updating mailing lists and contact databases.
• Office based duties: update website information, assist with the bi-weekly newsletter, stock takes,
sending out orders.

Skills Required
• Well-developed communication skills.
• An ability to work as an individual and in a small team.
• The resourcefulness to research and develop solutions unassisted.
• High level of proficiency with the English language.
• Focus and attention to detail (esp. when proofreading manuscripts).
• Ability to use a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office,
and social media platforms.

End date: 21st June 2019
Closing date: Friday 26th April 2019 (midnight)
Interview date: Wednesday 8th May 2019

  • Reference provided upon completion of the internship.

Rate of Pay: £9.20 per hour (including holiday pay)
