The book is due to be published by Rowman and Littlefield in mid-late April 2021. Writing was completed in May 2020 but the virus intervened (as it has done in so many things) meaning that the process from then on was slowed down. I chose not to rewrite anything in the book because of the pandemic and lockdown, in part because it felt too raw and difficult to do so. But, there is no doubt that much has been revealed by how the normal anticipations of repeating, interwoven rhythms of economy and society, places and everyday lives have been so dramatically interrupted and recalibrated. Many thanks for everyone at Rowman and Littlefield who have kept going under difficult conditions and stuck with the project.
