Our Work
CUT TO began in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. In spite of this, our team of 20 have been hard at work to produce an excellent debut issue, available at "published issues" and on our home page.
This page is dedicated to keeping track of the work that we do each term!
2020 TERM 1: So what have we been up to this first term?
- CUT TO’s debut Issue: CINEMA (90 pages)
- Created & Sustained
- Both Instagram accounts, Facebook page, and Twitter page
- The “Learning Cinema” Series, covering Transgender Representation in Film, and Chiaroscuro Lighting (with more to come)
- Our YouTube account, which is ready to upload our content
- This website that you’re on right now, which is regularly updated and monitored by our web designer
- The CUT TO PODCAST CREW Episode 1 (around 1 hour)
- Recorded, edited, and put together by the team independently
- The Workprint Video Essays videos (2 to be released soon)
2021 TERM 2: So what have we been up to?
- CUT TO’s Issue II: PIONEERS OF GENRE (104 pages)
- Created & Sustained
- Both Instagram accounts, Facebook page, and Twitter page
- The “Filmmaker of Focus” Series, where we cover filmmakers and their most famous works
- The Cover Art Competition
- The Oscars Livestream (~4 hours, featured on the Take2Cinema Facebook page)
- Our YouTube account
- A collaborative work with The Duke’s Cinema Lancaster, where we write reviews of films they are showing
- The “Pride Reviews” short-run June special where we cover LGBTQ+ Media
