From 9 February 2026 to 10 May 2026 (11:59pm), we need your help to find topics that need more research. This will help improve transition-related healthcare for trans, non-binary and gender-diverse adults. We want to hear from:
Adults aged 18+ who are accessing, have accessed or are seeking access to transition-related care.
Healthcare professionals who support people with gender incongruence/dysphoria.
People who support someone with lived experience, such as family, friends, carers, or partners.
This consultation wants to find out what topics need more research to improve transition-related healthcare in the UK.
The results will help us create a final report, which will be published on the James Lind Alliance website. The Top Ten questions from this report can be used to apply for NIHR research funding.
The NIHR is an organisation in the UK that funds health research.
Your original answers will be stored securely on a Lancaster University server for up to 10 years. They will be password protected. Only the Co-Leads will see these answers.
After the survey closes, your initials will be deleted from the consent section. All answers will be checked to make sure no one can know which answers are yours. These answers will be shared with Gendered Intelligence.
Anonymous quotes from the survey may be used in reports, training, or publications by the Co-Leads or Gendered Intelligence. Your name will never be shared.
We ask for your initials to show you agree to take part. They will be deleted after the Co-Leads check your consent. Your survey answers will still be anonymous.
