National Call for Evidence Findings

The deadline for the national call for evidence has passed. If your organisation still wishes to make a submission, please let us know by emailing us at observatory.scoping.study@lancaster.ac.uk

Overview

The national call for evidence aimed to better understand organisations’ use of research evidence in policy and practice and to identify priorities for a family justice observatory in England and Wales. Forty-seven submissions were received from policy, practice and research leads on behalf of their organisations representing one or more of the following stakeholder groups within the family justice system:

  • Practitioners (e.g. judges, lawyers, barristers, experts, social workers).
  • System-wide users (e.g. national and local policy makers).
  • Researchers and analysts (e.g. academic, government, independent).
  • Parties to cases (e.g. organisations representing young people, parents, extended family members, other carers).
