Writing programme

The Women Faculty Writing Programme, run by Lancaster University Women’s Network, provides women staff at Lancaster with an email and distraction-free space for dedicated academic writing. The groups are promote a supportive community of scholars, and are used to help develop skills and commitment around the writing process. The first 30 minutes is a discussion, followed by ~2.5 hours of writing in silence.  The groups run online and in person.

Members typically apply to join one of three sessions:

  • Tuesdays 9.30-12.30
  • Wednesdays 9.30-12.30
  • Thursday 2-5

Calls for new members are sent out ahead of each academic term.  Check out our Teams channel for the latest call or contact Danielle Turton on d.m.turton@lancaster.ac.uk.
