Serena Pollastri
Lecturer in Design for Coastal Futures
Serena Pollastri is a Lecturer in Urban Futures at ImaginationLancaster at the School of Art (Architecture). Her practice-based research is concerned with developing and applying design methods and approaches for posthuman regenerative coastal futures, particularly through collaborative, hands-on actions.
Suzana Ilic
Senior Lecturer in Lancaster Environment Centre
Suzana Ilic is a Senior Lecturer in Coastal Processes at Lancaster University, specialising in coastal hydrodynamics and geomorphology. Her research examines natural and human impacts on coasts, and explores co-designing nature-based solutions with communities to support resilient coastal environments long term.
Paul Cureton
Senior Lecturer in Design
Dr Paul Cureton FRSA is Senior Lecturer in Design at Imagination Lancaster, and a member of the Data Science Institute (DSI). His work focuses on spatial planning, 3D GIS modelling, and design futures. He is at the forefront of exploring the critical interface between new and emerging socio-technological relationships, such as Design for Digital Twins, Drone Futures, and innovative process-based methodologies for Future Environments like Geodesign.
Louise Mullagh
Lecturer in Performance and Place.
Louise's research sits at the intersection of performance studies, critical data studies, mobilities and art practice, and explore s how embodied, sensory and more-than-human encounters with place produce forms of knowledge that data-driven and AI-generated approaches cannot replicate. Working primarily in and around Morecambe Bay, Louise uses walking both as a methodological and theoretical practice to argue for the value of repertoire knowledge in an increasingly datafied world.
Juan G. Montalván Lume
Researcher in Socionatural and Pluriversal Design
Juan Montalván Lume is a PhD Researcher in Socionatural Design and Pluriversal approaches to coastal co-inhabitation at Lancaster University, and Lecturer in Systemic Design and Latin American Studies at PUC Peru, exploring conceptual and practical bridges between modern and non-modern relationalities with bodies of water.
Ellie Brown
Our Future Coast - Wyre Council
Ellie Brown is the Programme Manager for Our Future Coast based at Wyre Council. This project is funded by Defra as part of the £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes which is managed by the Environment Agency. The programmes will drive innovation in flood and coastal resilience and adaptation to a changing climate.
