Student participants from both Lancaster and Sunway University come together and attend masterclasses and workshops with prestigious industry professionals and academics to develop and make their ideas come to life for the festival’s screening on 24th August. This year’s workshops are led by writer-director, Prano Bailey-Bond, who guides the students along the way to create their short films.
The programme consists of a variety of workshops, masterclasses, and free time for the groups to produce their films, as well as an opportunity to explore the city of Lancaster and the Lake District.
All participants have access to the facilities at Lancaster University, including purpose-built editing suites and a range of digital filmmaking equipment. These short films depict the story of a real or fictional myth based in the Lancaster area, as well as tapping into this year’s festival themes: Flight, Eco-Visions, and Untold Stories
