A symposium on The Ethics of Human Artificial Gametes was held at the International Association of Bioethics 13th World Congress in Bioethics in Edinburgh on 16th June 2016. The speakers were Dr John B. Appleby (King’s College London), Dr Daniela Cutas (Umea University), Dr César Palacios-González (King’s College London), and Professor Heidi Mertes (Ghent University). The symposium explored the ethical issues that arise in relation to the recent scientific advances and ongoing public debate regarding on in–vitro derived gametes.
