How does it come about that within the first few years of life, babies learn to understand the world around them and soon become active and understanding partners in social interactions? How do babies master one of the most puzzling of phenomena – language? Here at the Lancaster Babylab, we work at answering these questions.
Most of our studies involve children between 1 months and 2 years of age.
But we are also interested in working with older children up to 6 years of age.
We also have studies that investigate development before birth.

We are always looking to recruit families who might be interested in participating in our research. If you are pregnant or the parent of a baby or toddler we would love to hear from you.
