Data protection

Will my data be identifiable?

Firstly, the study is designed so you do not need to inform anyone, expect the research team, that you are taking part. You may wish to discuss your participation in the study with friends or colleagues but you also do not have to and your employers will not be made aware of your involvement.

The information you provide is confidential within the research team and your contribution to this research will be anonymised. Your identity will be protected by using a pseudonym (you can choose your own) both within the transcript and within any outputs from the study such as journal articles.

There will be limited data collected about your role and region of work, no further professional identifiable information will be collected. Data collected for this study will be stored securely and only the researcher conducting this study and their supervisors will have access to the data.

For further information about how Lancaster University processes personal data for research purposes and your data rights please visit our webpage: www.lancaster.ac.uk/research/data-protection

What will happen to the results?

The results will be summarised and reported in a thesis as part of the PhD and may be submitted for publication in an academic or professional journal or presented at a conference.
