How to distinguish oscillations from noise?

On Saturday, the 16th of September, you can choose to join a post-conference excursion to the beautiful serenity of the Lake District.   

The plan for the day will depend on the level of interest (and the weather), but attendees should be prepared for a hike. Please note that if you join the excursion you are responsible for your own safety, and the organisers are not guides.
