But in fact it\u2019s the dogs who have<\/span>
\n brought the snow and salt inside,<\/span>
\n flinging it onto your coat<\/span>
\n when they shake it away.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your coat hangs on the back of a chair<\/span>
\n and you haven\u2019t been out all day.<\/span>
\n You\u2019ve been mostly in bed because of the\u00a0<\/span>
\n new and unfamiliar but not<\/span>
\n unexpected pain in your hip,<\/span>
\n Another joint your illness<\/span>
\n is colonizing in your body.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can only watch the dogs<\/span>
\n play in the snow,<\/span>
\n young pups again,<\/span>
\n their own bodies slowing even faster than yours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Black dogs,<\/span>
\n white snow,<\/span>
\n white snow,<\/span>
\n red counterpane,<\/span>
\n the outside in<\/span>
\n where you can\u00a0<\/span>
\n be in it.<\/span><\/p>\n
