XR-KIDS: Knowledge, Inclusion, and Digital Safety in Extended Reality for Children
XR-Kids focuses on investigating the ethical issues related to the intersection between extended reality, artificial intelligence, and children. XR-Kids seeks to generate design insights, ethical considerations, and assessment methods that can guide future educational practice and curriculum development. The interventions will aim to equip children with the knowledge and skills to understand fundamental AI concepts, demonstrate this understanding through embodied learning tasks, foster ethical awareness and prompt critical thinking. A complementary goal is to incorporate educator perspectives into the design process, ensuring they are supported with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to implement AI literacy in their classroom.
